Hello, Val
I came across a spammy page on your website
I was searching for an email address which was from an SEO web-bot sent from the following email address
terryfowlerr83@gmail.com
Its the kind I am sure you have seen where a bot fills in your “contact us” page.
This page on your website turned up in the Google results that I found for the above pesky email.
I wouldnt advise using the “opt-out” option, these spammers will generally take that as an indication that the spam worked and was read by a human being and so you will only invite more.
I used to do web-work so I know my way around and once had an attack from a spammy bot that managed to inject stuff onto my website (it was actually my website when I owned a hotel in France – like you I used to own a small tourist business ). I suspect that you have suffered the same problem. As far as I can see the page is not directly linked from your main website but it does appear in Google results. My guess is that this page was created on your site through a back door spam method that injects stuff into wordpress sites, its normally relatively harmless except you end up with spammy pages like the one I found on your website.
I have not supplied a valid email address as I am simply letting you know as a favour.
I am sure your web professional can help you track down the source of this unwanted page on your site, I cannot help you further as I don’t do any web work anymore.
These SEO spammers are a pain in the butt!
Best Jon (up in Scotland) – former hotel owner.
